Fluticasone Propoionate Nasal Spray!  (Flonase)   Its a common steroidal prescription nasal spray and is used in CPAP therapy alot, it is not habit forming, like some sprays.   It could be allergies, a cold, too much humidity, swelling.... but whatever it is, you still need your sleep.  Ask your primary care Doc, about it and see if it makes sense for you.

I don't subscribe to the total deprivation idea BUT I know that some foods, if I try to 'eat just one' it triggers my beast and I get out of control.

For example a week or two back, maybe a little longer, they had chocolate cake for the afternoon snack during a meeting. I declined and explained that I was on a weight loss plan. They kept pressuring and one thin lady told me the same premise, that if she denied herself a bite, she'd overindulge later. I eventually caved and had "just one bite." Before I made the conscious choice, I had downed a whole piece and was licking my fingers and thinking of going back for more. For me, certain foods are my crack, I am incapable of moderation. Knowing what those foods is (chocolate cake, thin mints at the theater, chocolate chip cookies, cheezits, vanilla oreas etc) is a large part of my battle.
Next time tell this wench that you can be completely satisfied in having made a positive choice, by her taking YOUR bite For YOU.... tell her that **** works too!!!!

And as for you, its been my experience that three days of abstaining from all Carbs, makes my physical and mental hunger pangs, that the carbs cause in the first place....just go awaaaaayyyyy.   Give it a try, you can choose that rest that comes from, not having cravings and you don't have to call it deprivation.....  start thinking...REST... a safe place...sanctuary.... and shelter from the storm...

And Kairk..... I was so discouraged during my stall, it lasted 3 weeks....I was losing inches (well belt holes) but tortured myself with weighing daily...... that stall cured me of compulsive weigh ins..... staying the course, that's the ticket, if were on plan, we can plan on success....    Were going to be compulsive about parts of this journey, LOL, no way around it, as long as were not compulsive about over eating....we are walking on a path that leads, right to 100% EWL....  Rest up, you've taken an inventory, you know your good, so you can rest in that and allow the stinking thinking to turn to confidence ...... and yea maybe this is a new chapter in your WL journey as well, maybe your weight loss will slow down a little after you come out of this and maybe it wont but stay the course and win the prize.....   how else would we strengthen our patience and confidence in our ability to make positive food choices, if we weren't challenged now and again....... We didn't come all this way to let some stinking stall rape us of our confidence in all the positive changes we are making........  Keep up the great work....You so have this....

I watched 4 of these pre-op and there is no question for me, that, Dr. C's video is by far the  best of the bunch.   What a confident man to post a video of the procedure, so straight forward so accomplished in his skill, he is quite an excellent surgeon....  Thanks for sharing this, I think it will be very helpful for pre ops to clearly understand what they are doing....

Topic: RE: For those you who are unable to exercise due to bad knees, back
Hi, you can do it. Every pound you see lost on my ticker was lost with NO exercise. I have needed a hip replaced for several years now and I have arthritis in both my shoulders and have not been able to swim anymore and had to give up biking before that and hiking before that...... I was given approval for hip surgery if I could get to 40 BMI. That's when I started my weight loss with a referral for VSG and a 6 months pre surgery class/program and I started at over 60 BMI and now I am one BMI away from 40. I am seeing the hip surgeon in two weeks to go over the procedure and hopefully schedule my surgery, ASAP. So you can do it too! Lots of protein, very little carbs, lots of water, meds, vits and keep it all between 600-800 calories a day. With every pound lost, you will know, you can get there..... Pre surgery I was taking lots of Fish Oil, Glucossomine and Chondroiton and hyralonic acid and pain was very manageable ...for over ten years that combo kept me off the Anti Inflammatories I was taking Daily before I discovered them. After surgery I waited a few months before I started them back up and I did fine and still am. AS the weight comes off things get better too, of course that doesn't fix everything damaged, so other surgeries will help.

I don't want to encourage you not to exercise because it is very important, I know from experience and having lost it, even if you cant do any, you can do this, it will mean you will have to become a calorie, carb and protein accountant but its doable, don't let anyone or your brain, tell you its Not!!! Best to you!!!

Topic: RE: Zone Perfect protein bars...okay for breakfast?
Its ok in a pinch but I would never make it my go to breakfast.  This is currently my breakfast in a cup of half caf/half decaf and a shot of chocolate SF Torani syrup, works for good for me, I get 30 gram of protein for 160 calories, leave me 40 calories for something extra at lunch or dinner and I double my proteins right out of the gate, otherwise good suggestions above so I will leave it at that....

I like it mixed up and put on half a small apple for a snack.   Like Happy said, it does have 3 g of sugar per serviing and I am a sugar addict but so far that has not been enough to move me off plan...  I only have it once in a while....   I like the chicken sauce idea above, might go all Tai on my next cluck....although I do not need lubes for the rotisserie chicken I buy from Costco....

I like this approach too!   I don't know about this "starvation diet metabolism" or for sure that obese folks require less calories to maintain then normies..... the jury is still out in my court on those issues but the one thing that seems to be constant FOR ME, is that; if I eat around  700 calories, I lose weight and tracking is the only tool that gives me the feedback for that.

Yea MOM can help but I gag on that chemical mix and will not take it.... How about 2 doses of Miralax, AM and PM but I can tell you that adding some veggies and or an apple today will get me moving tomorrow.  Since your probably cleared for some veggies and fruit, they are the best for me, I go up to 40 carbs day from them and that's enough to keep me moving, with only having to use Miralax if am too busy to shop and get fresh fruits and veggies or am too much in a hurry.....  The veggies and fruits keep me regular.  I did  have to cut back on cheese, its hard to fit much cheese into a 700 calorie day.    Your mileage may vary!

I pictured the and am talking about the round sticks that are 1.5 ounces about 7 inches long.... I haven't seen nuggets, I had the company send me samples of all their jerky and they didn't send any nuggets, so I think, they don't make them anymore or possibly another company made nuggets, not sure but glad to hear you like these too... Oh trust me I would rather have my own jerky with brown sugar teriyaki coat and lots more salt but these fit into my weight loss plan.....  I don't generally like dog food, LOL!!!

Very Good product, it lacks the salt and perhaps the fat your used too, the Ostrich part is very lean but that's the plus, it can fit into a weight loss diet at 650 calories as a snack, most jerky snacks start to add up to a couple hundred calories really quick. At 80 calories its a great filling snack IMO!!! IS IT STEAK on a stick, heck no but its healthy and tastes great..... Be sure you look at the use by date, you might of gotten some old ones, mine are fresh....produced this month.... When I am goal weight like you, I wont bother with these, I can afford more calories....
