two months and you lost 27% of your excess weight. You can't compare pounds, you have to compare %s if you're going to compare anything. So let's say that person who lost 40 pounds in the same time frame actually has more to lose than you do. Like, Elina, her goal was like 110 or 105. So if she started out at your weight and lost 40 pounds, she would be losing 9 more actual pounds than you BUT her percentage would be slightly less than yours.
My 146 pound loss is only 65% of my excess weight, but for other people a 146 pound loss is only 50% or can even be 100%+ Actual pounds don't matter.
All you can really do is focus on YOUR percentage and be proud in that number. You lost over a quarter of your excess weight in TWO months. Do that 3 more times and you're at goal! It'll happen quickly if you stay focused.
There is a girl on here who started at like 390, 370 surgery which is right where I was. She had her surgery AFTER I did and she's lost over 200 pounds. I've only lost 146 (in more time). I can beat myself up or look at the fact that *I* lost 150 pounds!
One more thing, depending on the way you're losing weight, you may be better off to lose less weight by building muscle. It's quite easy to lose muscle mass and then become what we call "skinny fat". You weigh less but you have a bunch of skin and fat and no muscle. I'd rather weigh more and have a more toned and fit body. When someone loses more weight than you it could just be genetic. Some people have certain ailments that others don't and they can either do good or bad for us when it comes to weight loss.
It's just too complicated. Just focus on your percentages and you'll be fine.
