Topic: RE: Surgery on Monday--any last minutes tips or hints? wow, I remember when I posted the same thing. Feb 1st will be 2 yrs I had my surgery. My list of what i took and actually used was, my cell phone and charger, chap stick, toothbrush and tooth paste, brush, pony holder, clothes to go home in. I didnt bring pjs, they gave me 2 gowns, u wear one in front, one in back. I wore the slipper socks they gave me. after my surgery I got my room about 1pm. I pretty much slept till 10 pm that night, on and off. they got me out at 10, but its hard to walk w/ a im pole and a cath coming out of u. They wanted to make sure I was passing enough fluid. The next morning they took out the cath, though I still had the iv. They sent me for a gi to make sure no leaks, and omfg, the stuff was bad, I wanted to puke. No leaks, I got sugar free jello, and ice chips and tea and I dont remember what else. Pretty much ate sf jello and ice chips. I had a good experience, no issues, and would do it again in a heartbeat, only thing is I wouldnt of waited as long as I did to decide to do it...Any questions feel free to ask..
