I had my surgery on a Monday, while in hospital only liquids. When I was released Wednesday they switched to full liquids, whi*****luded yogurt, and some cream soups. I was on that for 3 full weeks. when I saw the Nutritinst on week 3 she said I can switch to mushies. My first taste of mushie food was wendys chili w/ cheese. I think I ate 4 spoonfuls and was full.
I work as a cashier in Target. The Dr told me to take 10 days off, his PA told me 2 weeks, I took 3 weeks off. The day I was released from the hospital that night I was walking around Target, the next day I was walking around a mall near me. I could of went back to work after 10 days. Thankfully my recovery was quick. I had the morphine pump from the time I was in the recovery room till the day I left. Had surgery on a monday, used the pump like crazy. Tuesday morning I sneezed, used the pump and that was it. i was released the next day, Wednesday afternoon. When I did go back to work, They gave me a chair which I didnt use, I told them I cant lift anything heavy, no problem there. I told my guest to leave heavy things in the cart and scanned them w/ the gun, I didnt make the bags too heavy, and for the bags that were heavy I told the guest I just had surgery can they take it. Many were shocked I went back to work so soon, my response, the bills need to be paid...
