Congratulations on your Success

I uploaded some new before and after photos from a recent photo shoot. I still can't believe it is me!!. I have collar bones and a space between my thighs. And as my ticker says 17.5lbs until I reach goal! I have never been this close to a weight goal in my entire life!!  Things have definately slowed down and after arriving back in Canada on January 29th, having travelled South America and Mexico for six months, I quickly gained 6lbs but have now lost that and a little more. Definately more of a struggle to keep the carbs away now that I am back at work and surrounded by North American food. However I am still feeling good restriction on dense proteins. Thank you VSG!!  I am so glad I did this.

It will happen. I was wearing an Addition-Elle size 24 pair of pants on surgery day. Now 13 months later sizes are all over the place.  Buy what fits. There is way too much vanity sizing out there. I have done a lot of shopping this month as I had nothing left. This month I have bought size small and medium shirts, an extra large negligee from a lingerie shop. Then pants in sizes 7,8,9 & 10.

When I did my research you couldn't get VSG in AB. It was $20,000-$25,000 in ON

Alberta Health asked for the name of every Dr that dealth with me and the cost. The lab, anesthetist, Dr. campos, Dr. Aceves etc. As Nina is familiar with AB needs now I am sure if you ask she will supply it no problem.

Pretty much ditto, same as everyone else

IPAD, toothbrush, I wore the same jogging suit/sweats I wore to the hospital. The hospital supplied gowns and slippers.

What I was really thankful I brought was tic tacs for day one. You wake up with a terrible taste in your mouth and zero liquids to even brush your teeth on day one. Plus with the pain killers I was not too mobile. One or two tic tacs lasted me 4 hours of dozing and took care of that nasty taste. Also ear plugs. I am a light sleeper and my room was near the nurses station.

WOW!! You are one HOT young lady. Congratulations on your success

My girlfriend from out of province was in town last night and we met for dinner. It was great to see her. We haven't see each other since June 2011 when I was at my heaviest. Today I am 135lbs lighter. After dinner we went shopping together. As we meandered through the racks we would separate and come back together. Twice I walked up to her and she looked startled. She said "OMG I didn't recognize you" LOL.

Tomorrow is my one year anniversary
