This is my surgeon and I would highly recommend him. I chose to go out of state due to the year wait to even get my consult in Mississippi due to having Medicare. I had my consult with two weeks of calling Dr. Freeman's office.

R. Bryan Freeman is a Board Certified Surgeon and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He has been in private practice in Anniston, Alabama since 1987.
He graduated from the University of Mississippi with a Medical Doctor Degree in 1980 and fulfilled his internship and residency for General Surgery at Madigan Army Medical Center in Fort Lewis, Washington.
Dr. Freeman has completed extensive training in laparoscopic gastric bypass surgery under the guidance of Dr. Alan Wittgrove in San Diego, California. Dr. Freeman performs both laparoscopic and open gastric bypass surgery as well as revision surgery.
Because Dr. Freeman understands the need for options as patients consider weight loss surgery, he began performing the laparoscopic adjustable band procedure in 2006.
Dr. Freeman understands gastric bypass surgery from a very personal perspective. He's had the procedure himself. He discovered that making the same choice his patients were considering changed his practice, his relationships with his patients and his life. He can easily impart each and every detail of this amazing journey and realizes the concern that each patient has about taking such a big step. Rest assured that when you meet with Dr. Freeman, he understands what you are going through. This skilled physician and weight loss surgery patient is ready to listen and counsel.
