I live near Montgomery and there isn't one here that will accept my Medicare or self-pay.  I understand about the Medicare but why my cash is not as good as your insurance I do not get.

I can travel to Birmingham.  I need referrals if you know of a good one.

Becky.  Right off hand I do not know the names of an endocrinologist in the B'ham area.  When I  worked  as a nurse we would call the UAB Physcians Finders and the # for that is 1-800-UAB 8816.  They will be able to help you.

Dr. Brooks Vaughn at UAB is a friend of mine and is excellent. Most doctors in the Kirklin Clinic group at UAB do accept Medicare patients.
