I am 2 years out and have not had any problems.. This last week, I had a horrid back ache, and from there it got worse. The pain is now in my Lower right side above my pelvic and the side of my hip.  I am also nausea, headaches, dizzy, and tired.  I take all my vites, My iron since I am anemic, always have been, get my protein in.  and water.  I do drink coffee but always have.
I went to the Doctor and they took blood, Ct scan , X-ray and they found nothing.  But the pain is still there.  I have a hard time bending over, without pain and walking even hurts.  Anyone have any ideas?  The doctor checked me for Hernia, Appendix, female organs, kidney stones and nothing,  I am not having any problems with my bowels.. Going 2-*3 times a day and its not hard or runny.  No fevers, nothing but pain, headaches, dizzy and nausea.  For the ct scan I drank that uggggg stuff over a 12 hour period.. Started it at night and finished in the morning, they said that was ok.. do you think that maybe they were wrong and I did need to drink it all in 2 hours?  I told Them I had Rny and they told me to do it that way, sip all night.. If anyone has any ideas PLEASE let me know.. Thank you..

not a medical person, but was wondering if it is back pain or a disc or something like that?  Maybe check with a chiroproactor or orthopedist?  Also, the worst back pain I ever had was actually a UTI that went into a kidney infection - am assuming that they tested your blood or urine for infection with all the other tests you had done.  Good luck!

First, I don't know why they let you drink the contrast like that or why it was necessary.  I have had two CTs recently and did great with two different types of contrast.  I had an empty pouch and the contrast moved right through and I was able to drink it as prescribed.  Maybe your CT wasn't real accurate.

I have had moderate pain in my back and right abdomin for months.  A person has to be very proactive in these cases.  I went full circle through my doctors twice.  The second CT showed that a large kidney stone that was preiously dormant was on the move.  Passing time allowed a fatty tumor in my abdomin to grow enough to be diagnosed and removed.  Surgery for the kidney stone is next.  I am telling you this to encourage to keep after the doctors.  I would get a KUB x-ray.  It checks your kidney, uretha and bladder and might pick up a stone.  Have they done a urinalysis?  I hope they find your problem real soon.  Loris

I had the exact same pain off and on but always there for about 6 weeks from Nov. into December-had one day that was horrible for about 6 hours.. I had chalked it up to a fibroid in my uterus that has been giving me grief, but when I saw the surgeon(bariatric) in Dec. and mentioned it to him, he ordered a CAT scan. It took about a week and a half to get the scan and the pain was suddenly gone right before Christmas, before I had the scan. The scan showed nothing but a stone in my left kidney, but I have had no pain on that side. So maybe I was passing a stone on the right-don't know.
As to the nausea, dizziness, etc. I don't know, but when my pain was really bad I kind of felt that way and did almost pass out at one point. I think it is just from the pain. I would look further into getting the kidneys checked out.

I'm not a doctor, but I have similar pains, and they're nothing mysterious -- a fractured, chronically worn disk in my back, and arthritis in both that area of the back, and my right hip. Exercise, and, in general, just keeping moving, helps a lot with both those things.

I also take a regular routine of Tylenol Arthritis whenever the pain really flares up. Seems to help. As for the dizziness and nausea, I don't have that, and don't have any ideas about them, or whether they're really related to your pains, or not.
