Hi Guys! Hoping you're all having a wonderful weekend...maybe ready to watch the oscars and dress dream away. I had my surgery 3 months ago, I'm very active, I go to the gym Im taking my proteins...I've only lost 66lbs so far and I'm still unsure if that's ok or if Im loosing weight rather slow. it worries me sometimes. I eat very healthy now, nothing process and is working out well, but I just wondered is there is an average or a number I have to look for regarding weight loss. Thank you and have a wonderful day!

I had surgery in November too and have lost 66lbs....20lb before surgery.  At my 2 month check I had lost 40% of my excess weight, so I'm sure I'm close to 60% by now.  It coming off slowly buy surely...I've been keeping track of my monthly losses; it's been all over the place.  The month of November was my highest at 15.5lbs, December I only lost 6, January I lost 15 again, and so far this month I've lost about 7.  I haven't dropped as much as other's who had surgery the same time, but it is coming off at a steady rate instead of gaining!!

Somebody posted this a day or two ago....I'm losing at about a 70% rate so I guess that's good.

66 pounds in 3 months is an average of over 5 pounds per week and is SUPERB loss to be celebrated! How much weight do you have to lose in total?

Then you've lost over 30% of your excess weight in just three months. That's GREAT! Remember, it is not normal or usual to lose 100% of your excess weight. If you do get to 100% EWL it will be unusual. 70% EWL is a reasonable expectation. You are almost halfway there already!

Everyone is different and CONGRATS on already losing 66lbs!!! That is awesome. Just stick with it and you will do fine. Stay off the scale (which I need to be reminded all the time to do) and just enjoy being active, skinnier and happier. Thats all that really matters.....

Thank you so much! I appreciate the support. Is so wonderful to get feed back from amazing individuals that share this journey and understand what we're going through. I actually lowered my carb intake since Friday, it was giving me head hunger and I'm down 72 lbs to date. I still have 125 to go but it looks closer. have an amazing day!

I'm 3 months post op and I haven't loss as much as you. However the past few weeks I haven't been as committed as I once was. But I'm focusing on my food intake. I can't eat much so getting all my protein is still a hassle for me. I don't drink enough water either.
