    Papaya Chews?

I have heard that the papaya chews are good for digestion or stuck food.  Any thoughts on this and where do you get them?  Thank you.

I am not sure about Papaya chews though I expect you can get them in any health food type store. What works well for me is candied ginger. I get those at Trader Joes or Sprouts
Whatever you do is it truthful, necessary and kind?
I really like the chewable papaya enzyme tablets.  i find them extremely helpful if I get uncomfortable after eating.  I will also sometimes take them if I am eating something particularly dense, such as steak.

I had used them during my pregnancies, and had forgotten about them until about three months ago.  i am very glad I remembered them!

I get mine at GNC. but they shouldn't be too hard to find elsewhere, such as Vitamin Shoppe and maybe Walmart.

Other people have suggested taking some meat tenderizer disolved in warm water, but the thought of that makes me want to barf!

    Cheers!

    I bought some at Walmart
THey work great and I got mine at Rite-Aid drugstore. Pretty sure they are readily available. Give it s try-it can only help!
I bought a bottle of Papaya Enzymes at Walmart.  I keep a supply in a pillbox in my purse so they are always with me.

They work for protein-based food that gets stuck (meat).  You chew one up and swallow.  Wait a minute or so.  Chew another one.  Wait.  Usually takes about 3 or 4 for me to get relief, but I think the key is to space them out a minute or two apart and let them work a bit before adding more.

They don't really work on non-meat food (like veggies or bread).

Do you think they will work to get things going through a band that is a bit tight?
    Hi Jennifer,

I would think it would work. It is suppose to break up the fiber in the meat so that it will digest easier.  I had RNY and it works well for me when I forget to chew things well.

    Good luck....laurie
