How do you get 100 g. of protein in per day?

wow - 100+ grams!  My paperwork said I needed 40-60 grams of protien per day and I struggle to get in that much!

They told me not to drink the protien shakes or bars past a a couple months post-op because they have too many calories.  Which is fine because I haven't liked any I've tried (even before surgery I never drank "shakes" ... even ice cream ones - I just don't like them).

So, they say protein'll make you fat?

Depends on how you define protein, I guess. Boost or Ensure, sure, fatten you right up.

Whey powder + water? It is what holds my weight. DOWN, not up.

Try the fruity ones, like Nectar or 4Ever Fit. More like Crystal Light and not so milky in texture.

BTW, I do 6 drinks, so 900-1000 cal, 6 small meals or so, and I weigh around 100#, which is ok cuz I'm not overly tall.

My babies in the pix are 5'8" and 5'10". You can see I can't bully them with size. But I still have the "Mom Eye".

Today's menu:

B - 138 g microwaved egg whites
S -  1 scoop protein powder
L - 113 g low fat cottage cheese and 30 g blueberries
S - 113 g plain Greek Yogurt - 86 g steamed veggies -1 scoop protein powder
D - 2 oz turkey breast - 5 g slivered almonds - 30 g raw spinach - 2 T Mediterranean dressing

109 g protein
14 g fat
27 g carbs
676 Calories.

This week I made a conscious effort to boost my protein to at least 100 g/day. I've been pretty successful boosting the protein with the addition of another scoop of protein powder. However, I am having trouble getting my carbs below 25 grams without eliminating whole grain products. I'll keep trying.
