Hey all so of course you know from my last post that I made it through surgery 1/31 and again thank u everyone for the kind words I was very nervous. Anyway so today I am leaving the hospital, but I have had a terrible prob w gas. I know walking helps so I have been walking every minute that im awake but it doesn't help! Is anyone else going through this to? Does it get any better? They gave me some gas drops but they don't work at all...

The gas you are suffering from is in your abdominal cavity, not  your digestive tract, so there is little drops or Gas-X can do for that. It WILL take a while to go away. Walking and movement in general is the best bet to hurry it along, and some people report relief with a heating pad, but it really just goes away when it dissipates or osmosis-izes or whatever it is that gas does.

I had horrible gas pains as well...sooo painful, but on day 3 post-op I started passing gas and
felt so much better.  Also the heating pad did help the pain alot as well.  Don't worry...the gas
    will pass!!
