    Andrea,

If you are here, I have a situation for ya!  I posted this on your facebook page, but thought I'd post it here too, in case you check this more...

Hi Andrea ~ hopeing you can help. My sister had an episode today where she had left arm numbness and tingly, hand weak, heart started racing, muscle spasms in her chest, and dizziness. She thought she was having a heart attack. She went to the ER and cardiac was ruled out, and all other tests so far show everything is normal. She will have an MRI and carotid scan tomorrow but she feels fine now. Does this sound like anything that could be attributed to a vit deficiency? She exercises 2 times a day most days, has a lot of stress, and is burning the candle at both ends. Appreciate any insight you can give!

    Thanks so much!
    Heather

I'm not Andrea, and I'm not a doc, but if cardiac has been ruled out, I'd say those symptoms sound like a panic attack, especially since you mention stress and burning candles at both ends.  That's a recipe for anxiety/panic.

I have had panic attacks myself, and as an RN, I can tell you she did exactly as she should have, going to the ER.  Better safe than sorry, especially if she's never been diagnosed with panic disorder.  Panic attacks are terrifying.

Hopefully the other tests she's having will rule out other serious conditions, too.

That is the most popular guess so far!

I second the suggestion that it was a panic attack. Therapy and meds can help a lot.

Keep us posted on the other test results, will you?

I spoke with her earlier today, she answered one post yestarday about raynauds but she said she doesn't really hang around here anymore she is usually on Facebook.

I am not sure about those symptoms as a hole - separately they could be vitamin B12 deficiency and thyroid disease but not sure if they fit together.  Panic attack is definitely a possibility

Thanks MM.  Unfortunately I don't have a Twitter account.
