Next time I complain or boo-hoo I had to dedicate a year of my life to get ready for my RNY on May 7th, remind me that all those that live in Nova Scotia have a 10 YEAR WAITING LIST BEFORE SURGERY.
We are very fortunate folks, to be living here in the USA for a thousand reasons!!!!! 

Yes,we are in many ways. As long as the insurance companies/employers are allowed to exclude bariatric surgeries and other necessary treatments,some of us might NEVER get WLS,much less in 10 years.

JUst sayin...

 You are so right.   Employers and insurance companies need to realize that in the LONG run it will save them thousands of dollars by approving the surgeries. So we have a long way to go yet.  I have read one sad story after another of people being denied, DENIED!  Or people saving every penny, taking loans out, borrowing from family to get this done. It's funny they are debated doing RNY on diabetics who are not terrible overweight to eliminate diabetes all together, which I am all for.  But don't deny the ones that need it for the weight to prevent these diseases in the first place!  Thanks for reposting.
