    who is 6 weeks out???

I am 6 weeks out and want to check in with everyone on their progress.  I am down 30 pounds and want to know if that is about average.

i am not that far out.. i am about almost 4weeks and ive lost 23lbs.. so i would say .. your doing a great job!
I am 6 weeks out and I have lost 30 lbs too :)

WOw. That's, amazing!!! I hope I CAN get that much lost in that time. How did you do it so fast?
Its not really that fast to me...lol..In the first two weeks I lost 18 pounds, but now my loss so far is 3 pounds a week..my dr is happy with a one pound a week loss, so they said I'm above average, though I dont feel that way..lol... I was averaging 600 to 700 calories a week, but at my 6 wk check up the dr upped it to 800 so I wasnt in starvation mode. I have yet to ever wake up and see a big loss..its always one pound at a time, but as long as I'm dropping weight, I'm ok with that...well sort of....I'm impatient...lol

LOL. I'm certainly UNpatient as well, cut even 18 pounds the first 2 weeks is amazing, Congrats. How did you do it? I mean with the liquids, I'm dying to have something besides the chicken broth. I WAS 190 I now am 188 . DO you have any ideas what I CAN do to control the cravings, and have something other then chicken broth?
IF YOU don't mind which procedure did you have?? I HAD the lapband.
My liquid stage was three weeks and consisted of ff yogurt, ff pudding, no sugar added juices, sf jello, cream soups, no sugar added applesauce, cream of wheat/rice, broths and protein shakes...then I did 3 weeks of soft/pureed that included ff beans, soft cheeses, cottage cheese, egg, tuna and chicken salad etc.  Im on reg food now and try to get in at least 60 to 80g of protein..Im not so great on fluids, but I sip, sip, sip allllllllllll dayyyyyyyyyyy longgggggggggg ..I had gastric bypass

Oh. Wow.. well thats more then I CAN EAT I have to be careful because of the band slipping.., I wanted to do the gastric but I WAS scared.. lol.. soft cheese?? I'll have to look into that, but thank you so much, for sharing, I hope we can keep in touch.. good job girl..
Btw I added you as a friend, so I CAN follow your progress if that's okay. I'm just so ready to get to my goal, so I CAN be more active with my kids..
I'm 6 weeks out and I'm only down 20 pounds. I've been stalled on 277 for almost 3 weeks now.

I am 7 weeks out and I've lost 35 pounds. But I haven't lost any weight for the past 4 weeks! I am in complete shock. I am so happy I lost that much weight but also freaking it that I haven't lost any in 4 weeks. I am starting to feel hopeless...keeping at 700 a day and exercising three times a week, plus walking around at work. My biggest challeng is drinking fluids. I don't get enough. But IDK, no weight loss in 4 weeks leaves me feeling very afraid. What about you?

I havent stalled yet...but  I record my weight every monday and it always a 3 pound loss since the big 2 week loss..but I lose a pound, it jumps up and down all week long, then I lose another and then it goes back up then down and finally it settles into place and then the cycle continues...I dont mind weighing every day and I dont freak when it goes up, but I can see how my weight loss is happening..I have yet to wake up and see a big loss. But I am prepared to stall so ill be ok when it happens..well maybe....lol

I am only 4 weeks post-op gastric bypass and have lost 25 lbs.  I, too, experienced a "stall."  I didn't really lose anything for over 2 weeks and then finally lost 5 pounds in the last couple of days.  I took a close look at what I was eating and realized I wasn't getting in enough protein.   I had days where I just couldn't get the 2 protein shakes in that are required by my doc.  I changed my routine a few days ago to to focus more on the protein shakes than the "meals":
Breakfast = 1 protein shake (30 grams of protein)
Lunch = protein bar (10 grams of protein) or turkey & cheese roll-up
Snack = 1 protein shake (30 grams of protein)
Dinner = meat eaten from meals I make for my familyb along with a bite of vegetable
Snack (not every night) = couple of slices of apple (skin removed) or pear with 1 tsp peanut butter

Following this plan seems to have gotten me off the plateau and jump started my weight loss again.

You are doing GREAT!!!!  Don't get discouraged.  Have you measured yourself and seen a loss of inches?  Have you lost any clothing sizes or are your clothes fitting looser?  Do you have more energy?  Have there been improvements in your health (decreased blood pressure, decreased blood sugar, etc.)?  Those are all victories and I bet you are having many of them!!!

Good Luck and continued to success to you!

     Hope lives here!
