    7 mos weigh in

Had my 7th month weigh in and could not be happier! Surgery performed Sep 29 2011  pre surg weight 255lbs  7 mos weight 165!! beat the yr  goal set by clinic to achieve 167 lbs..seeing the nutritianist  who basically told me straight out flat  post op "oh I don't see you achieving our goal at the one yr mark"  Did I prove her wrong!!! So to everyone who has been told during your weight loss  that you will not get to your goal.....PROVE THEM WRONG!
    Great job. Congratulations!

That is wonderful! I am also at my 7th month mark. We have pretty much the same stats. I started at 251, had surgery on 9/19/11 and at my 6th month checkup, I was at 164. My surgeon set a goal of 175 for one year, and I beat it by 1lbs. at 6 months. I am now 8 lbs. away from my goal of 150.

It is wonderful to prove them wrong, isn't it! Life is pretty darn good over 90 lbs. lighter.

Thats great that you reached your mark, but you really aint proving anyone wrong. The doctors have to give conservative numbers because of the amount of failure, as well as not wanting people to feel unsuccessful.  But wither way, make your goal and exceed it, that would be an accomplishment.

My doc told me that i could ideally get to 200 pounds. that is still horrible to me. I have set my own goal, and I hope to meet that goal and keep it.  I want to lose a lot more than that.

But congrats and good luck on the journey.
     Congratulations!  Great Job!

    CONGRATS!!!

I have a question for you...I had my surgery Aug 8, 2011 which puts me, what, like 9 months out.

I have hit a platueau and keep going back and forth by 2-4 lbs.

Did this ever happen to you?  If yes, what did you do to get it moving again?

And wow, 7 months and 90 lbs lost...wish mine had done that.

    Thanks for any suggestions.

    And congrats again.
