Concerned about elevated Liver Enzymes

I am very concerned about my elevated liver enzymes.  I was having some pain in my upped abdomine area.  The next day I went to my primary doc.  She took an xray and did some bloodwork.  The xray only showed a little constipation.  The bloodwork showed extemely high liver enzymes.  They did an ultrasound and did not find anything.  So today they called and said I should follow a low fat diet.  I was surprised and a little concerned.

Here are my numbers:

AST 954 (normal range is 5 - 31)
ALT 1275 (normal range is 5 - 31)

What do you think?  Should I still be concerned?  I don't have a galbladder, was removed in 2008.

Thanks,

Kelly

Wow, those are very high!  Mine weren't nearly as high and my doctor sent me to a liver specialist and they did the ultrasound and a biopsy.  Nothing was found but they are watching things.  I would be very concerned and insist on seeing a liver specialist.  What kind of medications are you taking?  I've heard that can cause liver problems but I wouldn't be happy until they found out what was going on.

I had my gall bladder out 4 years before my RNY. About 3 months after my RNY my PCP did my blood work and said my liver enzymes were through the roof. He was puzzled because at the time I was not experiencing any pain and high liver enzymes indicate gall bladder trouble.  He scheduled a CT scan for me and the day before the scan I was experienced severe pain similar to when I had gall bladder attacks.  I went to the hospital and ended up with pancreatitis. It turned out a stone(s) were stuck in my bile duct. My RNY surgeon and a gastro surgeon cleaned out lingering stones and created a larger duct to allow any future stones to pass. I am not sure if this would show on an ultrasound (I tend to doubt it since when I was admitted they did a CT scan to find the problem).  I know this has happened to others as I had read about it prior to it happening to me.  Something worth checking out IMO.
