    NSV Victory

Well, it has been a long time since I have exercised so well.  Actually the last time I was in at this level of conditioning I was a USMC officer.  I just finished a long workout and then went running.  I only ran 2.5 miles but my first mile was 5:42.

WLS usually works if you work it.  It is not easy.  But if you do, the rewards can be great.

    Best to all,

Fantastic... can not wait to join the ranks of fit!

Ahh, thank you so much!  You can and will do this!  :)

That's a GREAT NSV.  Is that also a PR? (Personal record)

Thanks so much Katari.  And, I think it is a PR.  Marines had me going distances more than speed.
That's fantastic! I'm still at the stage where I have PR's at least once a month. LOL. I hope one day to see a mile under 8 minutes! Sounds like  your doing GREAT! Congrats again!

That's great! I just started adding intervals of jogging to my walk yesterday with my runner hubby's help and encouragement. 5:42 is an awesome time for a mile!

Isn't it great to be able to do these things?

Thank you all so very much!  It feels so great to be at a place where my body feels so efficient and running is pleasureful again instead of a painful chore.  I never would have imagined being back at this level of conditioning,

    Thanks again!

Yes, I hear you.  Running provides me with temporary distance from some of life's stressors, and moments of solitude where my mind and body function in harmony.  That is not something that happened when I was M.O.

That time was great! Way to go!  I need to speed my running up. Looking to get in the 8's.

Thank you very much Julie!  You are doing AWESOME!

    Best,
A little OT but my oldest son is USAF and is in great shape.  I haven't told him about my upcoming WLS because I want to surprise him.  He worries about my health and I am doing this as must for my kids as I am for myself.  I want him to be proud of me.
