Finally after 477 to 247 and many, many skin fold infections, I will have PS for abdominoplasty/panneculectomy and thigh lift on June 29 at 7:30 am. PS says will take 4-5 hrs and spend 1-2 days in hosp. Busy schedule next 2 wks to get ready but will be so glad to be rid of this "devil" of a bad friend (my hanging bags of skin). My hubby says he's ready for me to not have to  endure these infections any longer and no happier than I am!! I have , I hope posted photos in album of my before PS surgery (warning....they are graphic so be advised) and will try to post later ones after surgery. Still not sure how to get my ticker changed but oh well, such a minor thing....till later

Thoughts & prayers for your upcomming surgery! Thank you for posting your success hopefully due to the infections your insurance is covering the plastics!!

Ins denied at first stating "cosmetic exclusion" I appealed sending them back a copy of their own manual that stated "Cosmetic exclusion unless deemed medically necessary" They inadvertently....ha ha ,  neglected to copy the entire paragraph in their denial. I sent statements from my PCP, my RNY surgeon, my dermatologist and close up color photos and a personal letter requesting very polietly that they reverse their decision. I sent it by certified mail and they phoned when it was received and called 4 days later to say that their medical board had met  and reversed their initial decision. Don't ever give up if you believe you are in the right!!!

Hi my name is cee-cee and I have been trying to get the same ps, but I have not had any luck and I feel so bad. My lower stomach hangs so much til it has cause me to have severe back pain and some infection, but they still have not approved my surgery. I'm just so ready to live out the rest of my life I had the gastric bypass in 2008 but the Dr. didn't do a good job, so I been struggling with this for so long. I just need someone who has been through what  I've been through to help me trough this. But congradulations on your surgery I wish you speedy recovery.
