    Stomach twisted

So I went to the ER for dehydration on Monday and got hydrated. Then I had a follow up with the surgeon on Wednesday and they decided to admit me to run tests because I was dehydrated again. I ended up being there for 3 days. I was told my sleeve is slightly twisted and that is what is causing me the severe nausea. I was sent home with 3 nausea meds, patches, and suppositories. Along with smelly sticks and bracelets. I guess my opening isn't very hi where it is twisted and they said my body will probably adapt and the nausea will go away. If it doesn't I will go back in 2-4 weeks for an endoscopy and they will put a balloon down to stretch that opening. I'm terrified and I have been an emotional wreck. I wanted to get health and now I feel sick constantly. I appreciate any and all the prayers you can send my way. I'm wishing I wouldn't have done this. It's even hard to get liquids in at this point.

Endoscopies aren't a problem, honest; you're usually put asleep and the procedure is simple.

Don't worry, from what I've read here it's practically "a piece of cake"

Hang in there, Kid. You'll be better soon, and then enjoy your new healthy life.
Thanks. I had an endoscopy already. That is how they discovered the problem. I'm terrified when they try to fix the problem it won't work. I really don't want to feel like this forever. It is horrible. I am weak and shaky. I am so emotional. My husband is going to deploy soon so I will no longer have help with my kids. I just pray it will be fixed and I can move on and feel good. I appreciate all the prayers!! Thank you everyone.

I will keep you in my prayers, hope you get relief soon

You shall be wonderful. There are some speed bumps along the way and you are at one. A few of my friends have had to have this same thing done, one had it done 4 times! She is wonderful now. It happens and there is no rhyme or reason. Think of it as scar tissue building up around the area and they stretch it to open the way. I actually think I may be dealing with one now to and I am 4 yrs out. One step at a time.
Wishing you the best and great health coming your way

I'm not sure if your experience or symptoms are the same as mine.  I just wanted to share with you my experience.  I had the sleeve done a year ago this month.  I did not feel right from the start. They sent me home after being in the hospital for 4 days.  I was back in two days very sick.  They did various test, endoscopic procedures etc.  My sleeve was twisted!! Very long story short  I ended up having to have the RYN done 8 weeks later.  I am much better now and have lost 162 pounds but it was a rough recovery.  Stay hydrated as best you can and stay on your doctor.  Good luck.

I went back to see my surgeon today and he told me it isn't completely twisted it is more like a slight fold. When they did the endoscopy it went through all the way down to my intestines without a problem. He sees an area that is slightly narrow that he may have to do a procedure to stretch it a little if the nausea doesn't get better. I'm hopin it all works out because I don't want to have to go in for a revision. What were your signs and symptoms? Did they keep you in the hospital until after your revision. I was told if it was completely twisted I wouldn't be able to get anything in becuse it would be blocked off.
