Thank you for posting this. As I look at the health changes that my husband made to combat his Hashimoto's disease, he has eliminated most of these issues from his diet and his blood chemistry has evened right now. We generally eat whole foods most of the time, and if we don't (like tonight - Mexican dinner out), the stuff we choose definitely has as many whole ingredients as possible (chicken fajitas).
I am to the point now where I think processed foods just don't taste all that good.

I had to eliminate a lot of processed foods from my diet thanks to fructose issues, and I find that I don't miss them at all!

My father has always been an advocate of closest to whole as possible. When growing up my parents didn't allow many processed foods into the house. We never made the switch from butter to margarine when it became popular in the 80's. I remember dad saying... "Just you wait, in 20 yrs this will be bad for you." No way, was skim milk part of our diet, 2% was the norm in our house. :)
