PSA: A Good Bra Makes All the Difference!

I went to a great bra shop in Hollywood to seek out a good strapless bra. (I haven't been able to wear strapless because I have serious, serious support issues -- I never thought I could get good support from something without straps. This may all change once I get a breast lift, but that's still quite a bit in the future.)

I went to Jenette Bras. (Fun fact: The owner of the shop is Jenette Goldstein who played Private Vasquez of the movie Aliens. I met her! Haha!) Anyway, Jenette Bras (where "the alphabet starts at 'D'") specializes in larger cup bras, so if you're even in the LA area, check them out!

I found out that I'm actually a 34G (down from a 46JJ before surgery!). Those bras fit amazingly well (and held me up!) -- compared to the 38DD that I've been recently wearing. I know that I'll be losing even more weight, so I stopped myself at buying just one bra this time. But wow -- what a difference! I never thought a strapless anything would be able to hold me up!

A picture of the contraption I bought is below. I love it!! (The regular strapless bra they had me try on worked fine, but I loved the one below even better.) I can now wear strapless dresses and even all the blouses/dresses that have tiny little straps or only a strap on one shoulder. A whole new world of clothes has opened up for me, all because of a bra! Yeehaw!

I HIGHLY recommend going to a bra shop to get fitted for the right-sized bra. (Forget about Victoria Secret - they know nothing over there!).

Sing it, sister! A good bra really DOES make all the difference!

I WISH I were a D any longer!  48DD down to a 36B or C...but thanks to some advice here I did get some VS Bombshell bras and they work great for the itty bitty chested. :)

Fabulous you found a good shop for bigger chests, more fabulous you HAVE a bigger chest, lol. :)

Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!

Cup size is dependent on bust size, so it makes sense that your cup size decreased as your bust size did.  I.e., DDs at 36 have less volume than DDs at 46.

Oh, that I totally get...I would love to be a 36D instead of a 36B. Some ladies here still have big ol' boobies...I'm not one of them. Although, in fairness, I AM happy about that when I run. I just am not happy about it the rest of the time. :)

This is the BEST information I've ever read about bras and I think that everyone with boobs should read it.

Gorgeous bra!  I'm wondering what brand it is?  I'm a 30E and it's very difficult to get the circumference tight enough to do the lifting for my upper socks ;p. Thinking this style of bra might work
