yadah yadah yadah...So what do you know about them?

Ironman Essex 990 Inversion Table

There is a ton of these on the market..."Mine is best...That is junk".  Please respond only if you have personally used them...Not, "well my second cousin said".  Only if you have a personal experience with them, then respond.  Do they help your back?  Does it matter on quality...Wouldn't cheap work just as good as the big bucks systems?  Thanks for your input.  Brian

If you have a relax the back store near your house- you can actually try one in real life. I thought I'd like it- but after 5 minutes I had enough.

I had a Teeter Totter for several years and used it often.   Worked great for me in that I didn't have to have surgery for several compressed and bulging discs

My boyfriend seriously looked into buying one of these for back pain.  The VA had scheduled him for surgery on his lower spine.  Then they ended up referring him to spine specialist at Cleveland University hospital.

That surgeon told him that he had a condition where the ligament in the spine ossifies (turns into bone).  This is somewhat common in Japanese men, but extremely rare in Caucasians.  His was identified and treated.  If he had went with the inversion device and postponed getting diagnosed he would have been paralyzed.

That being said, I think that these type of devices could be extremely useful for relieving spinal pressure.  Just a caution not to use the device instead of medical diagnosis.

I have it and use it ....when I remember... I used to use it daily when my back was in a really bad shape.  If you get it - start slowly.  Initially I was using it only at app 30% slope... Then increased to 45... A full inversion was great eventually.

Check some Craig's lists, or eBay.

For my back issues and sciatica I just started using I rest massager tens units. Works very good to limit the swelling in my back...and the pain.

I also got booths for that.  Makes so much easier to get on/ off the thing.  If you back is really bad - bending over while on the inv. table to try to get strapped in was very painful for me. I needed assistance. But with the booths - I could do it on my own.
