Feeling frustrated and impatient

I don't know how everyone else manages through the impatience when pre-op.  Once I have set my mind to something, I like to go forward fairly quickly.  Unfortunately, the insurance hoops don't allow that to happen (and I know for good reason).  I have to wait until 8/7 for the intro class before I can even get a referral.  Where am I going to find the patience?!  I am trying to keep busy, but I keep finding myself drawn back to watching WLS related YouTube channels, lurking in this forum, looking at before and after pictures, etc.  I know in the grand scheme of things it's a small problem to have considering that the class is in less than 3 weeks but I am so frustrated and impatient right now and I am afraid that I may resort to eating my way through my feelings...again.

I kept super busy pre-op and one of the best things I did pre-op was work on finding a therapist I clicked with.  She's been a huge boon to me during this process, both pre-op and now post-op.

I feel your pain, I'm in the same boat. I'm trying so hard to be patient but I'm failing miserably at it. I'm still waiting for my orientation session date. Where I live you have to send in your referral to the bariatric registry then they send your referral on forward to whatever centre corresponds with your postal code. I know my referral was received but now I have to wait for the centre I was referred too, to book my orientation date and they said it can be 3-6 months sigh :-(
