Are you talking about immediately post-op gas pain from the gas used in laparascopy?  If you are, the best solution is to walk a lot.  Walking will help alleviate the pain.

If you're talking about Post-Op gas, walking a lot and I took gas-x too -the kind that dissolves on the tongue. Day 5 is when mine STARTED getting better.

I'm  8 days in and found it does get better after  5 days ,  just think it's almost over, you will feel so much better very soon.

I have walked like a crazy person and have had very little gas issues.  Walk as much as you can!
