Hello everyone,

Well here I am at 1am on day 6 in my 3 week pre-op diet and I am once again sleepless and restless. I lay in bed tossing and turning trying to go to sleep by can't and it is very hard on me. I have had this happen to me on several of the nights most of them when I am feeling good after a day of eating well and doing as directed by my doctor.

Has anyone else had this problem??

Why don't you ask your doctor if you can take some Z-quil or Benadryl or Tylenol PM to help you sleep?

i would bet that your sleeplessness is just adding to your stress and your pre-op diet struggles.  If you are sleeping, you are not eating or thinking about eating or obsessing about this phase.

A few nights with a sleep aid might do you wonders.

Well I feel asleep but woke up a hour half later so I figured I check in and say hello after having a little jello instead of a sandwich which is what I was dreaming about.LOL

Have you ever made jello jigglers?  it's still jello but they are more solid .. if the chewing is what you miss .. try them

If you are allowed to have broth and don't have salt issues --- I highly recommend Swanson's Mexican Tortilla broth.  It's a tad bit spicy and has a full bodied savory flavor that helped to feel way more satiated.

Keep up the good work!

Yes I am allowed to have broth, but I do have salt issues also.
