Seeing is believing

My RNY is tomorrow. I've already lost 20 lbs, I'm excited to be having it done. I find myself doubting it will work though. I've been overweight since I was 9. I don't remember being skinny. I guess I've tried so many things over the years that didn't work that I can't wrap my head around the idea of getting bellow 200 lbs, let alone in my target range. I don't think I'll believe it until it happens.

Did anyone else feel this way?

I had that same fear...what if I'm the one it doesn't work on.   Everybody I've talked to said they have the same thoughts before surgery.   Relax, it will work.   Follow your surgeons directions and great things will happen!

I am  2 months out and I have also had that thought, especially when I had the first stall which has lasted for 3 weeks.  The scale has just started moving again, thankfully!

I think everyone on these boards has had that same thought.
