Week 2 post-op & the scale won't budge!

I can't believe it, I'm down 25 lbs from the two week pre-op and post-op liquid diet! The sad part is, once I started adding soft proteins like cottage cheese or Greek yogurt, the scale has not moved. Maybe my body is adjusting, but has anyone else had this happen so early on?

This is totally normal. Get off the scale and just eat the way your doctor has directed you.. Do not over eat!!

Totally normal.  It happens more often than it doesn't.  Learn to love the stall, you'll experience them throughout the process.

In case you didn't know.  The little blue strip at the top of the page that has the magnify glass.  You also might want to click on it and type in 3 week stall, stalls and it explains this pretty good.

Good luck, I use this magnify glass quite a bit to check other stuff out.

Your body is catching up ...this is normal. Just follow your plan and it will start to move again. Before my medical revision.  When I had rny yrs ago. The scale wouldn't move foe 3 weeks but the 4th week I would have dramatic drops.

The biggest tip I can give is GET RID OF YOUR SCALE! I was on the darn thing every time I went to the bathroom and stalls do nothing but bring you down. You are still really early into post op so give it time. But stay off the scale!

Totally normal - unfortunately. I'm only 17 days post-op, but haven't been able to kick the scale habit yet. That said, I've been weighing myself daily for so long that I'm still 'okay' with not seeing it move. I've heard great advice about taking measurements rather than using the scale - something I plan on doing once I can get my hands on a tape measure.

The loss will pick back up again - once your body stops going "WTF are you doing to me??" and realizes you're not really starving it.
