Hey guys my mid life crisis at 30 has finally passed! lol No but seriously feels good back on track weighing my food, journal what I'm eating, and going hard in the gym!  I have used this website to vent the last week and just wanted to say thank you for everyone's responses even if I didn't quite agree I still took all them into consideration. Also felt good going to get a Halloween costume and not have to order it!!

Good for you ! Remember it's a journey not a race. You will have good and bad days. Learn from them all.

Try to journal your feelings along with your food so you can tell what was going on when you did everything right or when you got sidetracked.

Seems like just a day ago you were lost and off track and today its all better ? I worry that the swing of emotions and dedication to your pre op program may be a

sign of things to come AFTER your surgery. Please take this pre op time to evaluate your emotional health because the post op period is quiet a ride and there is NO

turning back once you make that final commitment. You want to do EVERYTHING possible now to be successful in the future.

Take one day at a time and eventually the string of good days will pay off.

If you stick around here long enough you will be told at least a MILLION things you "don't quite agree with"--especially if they come from WELL MEANING vets, who have/do walk the walk and know the drills-I hope you will read/take the info in the manner it is given

This LIFETIME journey is a day at a time...sometimes it's a minute at a time, for me --and I'm over 12 YEARS post op, and under goal, so maybe I know SOMETHING...mostly I know I can never give up..

KUDOS, a trillion times over, for all your efforts--your tenacity will serve you well...because...like I said...this is for a LIFETIME

Ditto to this. There have been people on OH who disagree with advice not to eat Funyuns a week after surgery (I kid you not), and they do so at their own risk. No, we are not doctors, but there's something to be said for the voice of experience; if you're going to disagree with what you see here, at least make sure your doctor is on board.

You have such a great attitude and approach to the whole process; I love reading your posts.  You will be showing us a picture or your Halloween costume, yes?  I love Halloween!  LOL

Awesome! This is a journey of a lifetime. There will be some stumbles and falls along the way. There should never be a problem in falling down, the problem is staying down! Glad you got back up ready to kick some more butt!
