New Oregon member...considering VSG in Mexicali

After going to a consult with the local Bariatric Center (Eugene, OR area) I have come to the realization that the only way I will be able to get the VSG is by going out of the country. Cost of pre-op, surgery, and post-op came up to over $40,000 and my insurance only covers a lifetime max of $15,000. I can't do that. I would love to hear people's experience going to Mexicali Bariatric Center. I'm really scared, but I've read nothing but positive things about the hospital and the surgeons.

You need to post this on the Mexico forum and also do some reading there.

Many have had fabulous experiences in MX.  My only rcommendation is to select a surgeon based on overall good experiences and not price.  Some have fallen for the discounted rates and lived (or died) to regret it.

My wife and I both had our surgery at the Mexicalli Bariatric Center. I can't say enough good things about them! Read the reviews here: http://www.obesityhelp.com/profiles/bariatric-surgeon/rodolfo-wilhelmy/reviews.
