No more BP meds!

saw my PCM today and he took me off my bp meds! My family history is one that I thought it wasn't if I had high blood pressure but when, but that's not the case. He said that with all my exercise and healthy eating habits I don't need it! Totally motivated to keep exercising, for life to avoid those meds!

Hi AmyK,

I had surgery October 6th and I was taken off all but one of my meds before I left the hospital.  Isn't it a great feeling?  I told myself the same thing I will continue to exercise and eat healthy so I will not have to go back to those meds again.  I love the feeling of my clothes getting to big.  I still have a hard time with feeling satisfied on 1/2 a cup of puree soup (hard to wrap my head around) , I also have more energy most days and want to do more.

Yay for you, keep up the good work

Sounds like you are doing great! I had rny on July 1st and still eat about a 1/2 cup 6 times a day. Takes pplanning and getting used to but it's so worth it! Keep up the good work!

For me, it was the kind of feedback that made the surgery worthwhile as I lost weight.  I'm excited right there with you! Congratulations!
