Nope, it didn't even cross my mind.  Surgeon said no make-up and I definitely followed the rules.

What worse than no make up is a day old make up.... I do hope you're are just joking.....

No make up, no nail polish.

It could maybe kill you or harm you but hey you will look good. He said no make up for a reason. The surgeon spent a lot of time in medical school for a reason. Here is just one of a million articles why it could be harmful. makeup bad

If you wear make-up you will be told to go remove it.  There is a reason they state no make-up, no nail polish, no jewelry.

Are you that vain to be concerned what you look like after surgery?

Do you plan to not follow anything your surgeon says?

I think this is a great idea. Could be you are saving someone at the funeral home a whole bunch of time, since they won't have to apply the makeup.

And after going through anaesthesia and surgery, that make up is going to look akin to what they'll do in the mortuary!

Not sure looking like Mimi in The Drew Carey Show is a good look but what the heck????

@Grim, along with the article provided above, this is the best response yet!

To the OP, if you're not going to follow the rules with this, after seeing these responses, I hope the surgeon cancels in pre_op. It might save your life in spite of you.

I am not meaning to sound brash, truly. You have got to be reasonable here.  Plz read the article mentioned in a previous post above and see if it will change your mind.  Nobody will or should care what you look like post-surgery. I'm sure they just want you to be alive.  Best wishes.
