The Day After - Good, Bad or Ugly?

Hey Everyone

Well, it's the day after and I was wondering how everyone did.  I surprised myself, my DIL's family puts out a spread like none other and I was able to make good choices. I only had "1" glass of white wine.  There were a lot of vegetarians in the group so I gravitated to those dishes (high fiber fills you up quickly) and the dessert God's were with me.  They really didn't have any of "those" desserts I can't refuse so I ate some grapes.

So how did you do?  Come on in and spill your guts and let us know the "Good, Bad and Ugly"

Regards,

Kathy

Oh I grossly over-indulged in food and alcohol! Lovely! Big dinner tonight and then back to normality tomorrow. Neither bad nor ugly!  Deliberate choices and not the slightest guilt!

Highest 290, Banded - 248   Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,

Since I have just been cleared for actual "food" - pureed, this is how I celebrated

B: mashed banana

L: LF yogurt

D: Cottage cheese, applesauce, jellied cranberry sauce. I also had two bites of a a boiled potato, but it was too pasty and not tasty, so I threw it away.

S: Cottage cheese

I had a taste of baked beans (just the sauce) and two macaroni salad noodles mushed up well. Also, a teeny-tiny (not even a bite, more of a pinch) piece of ham that I chewed well.

I wanted other things, but stuck to plan and did ok. Just didn't get in my protein or water yesterday. Making up for it today!

Now there's a combo I have not tried, wine and protein, have to try it.  White or Red?

Hells yeah I overindulged, but I knew I would, & this indulgence was different than in past years where I really would've stuffed myself & drank till I was tipsy.

This time I had some Coquito & eggnog liquor, my sweets was a little toffee popcorn & the rest was eating a whole lot of protein that was prepackaged like beef jerky, or bacon jerky etc. Salt be damned!  I decided better to overindulge in protein rather than the cookies & carbs that I really wanted.

I have never heard of Coquito & eggnog (I don't get out much) but that sounds good.  Glad you had a great time that is what it's all about. Live life to the fullest

Coquito is a spanish drink usually made at this time of year, my friends wife made it. The eggnog drink is sold in the liquor store. I didn't mix them together but they had a good time in my tummy! LOL
