Proton pump inhibitor, it's a medication that reduces stomach acid. Not all surgeons prescribe them for their patients; your surgeon will suggest one (or not) based on your individual case.

thanks, I got a lot of meds but not that one, I have something that is like a rx strength pepsid, pain pills, etc.

Pepcid is actually a PPI, so you're probably on something similar.
