7 pounds lost now 0?

I had RNY feb. 18 (2 weeks ago) I have lost 7 pounds plus the water weight I gained from the IVs YEA! However in the last 4 days I have lost nothing! I thought the stahl would be 3 weeks not 2? Is this normal or is it just me? I'm getting in 64 ounces of fluids and 60-70 grams protein per day. Calories are low but I can't eat much 1/4 cup at the most. Any ideas? Thank you for any help you can give me.

Some people slow down at 3 weeks, others at 2, others at 4. Four days without loss isn't so much a stall as a pause; your body is slowly getting used to its new configuration.

Keep following your surgeon's orders and you'll be fine!

Thank you it's just so frustrating. I want this to work so badly plus, I return to work tomorrow and I know everyone will be asking how much I have lost. I think I'm going to say I don't know until my Doctor appointment.

Frankly, it's none of their business how much you've lost. Don't be afraid to tell them so!

Hi Nurseihs,

This is normal.  Use other methods to track your progress in addition to the scale. Take your measurements, note how your clothes fit, your energy level.  And we highly suggest you take a photo every 4 weeks.  I was 6 months into my weight loss and just didn't see it. When I pulled out my monthly photos it was clear as day my loss.

May we suggest you post this on your surgery type forum to reach out to others that had the same surgery as you.

Thank you for your answer. I guess I knew this but wanted reassurance.

Hi there,

I stalled from week 2-4, and then the scale started moving again. It's pretty common and don't worry, you'll get moving again soon :)

My stall started one week after surgery and lasted 3 1/2 weeks. It stinks but you will get past it. You will not lose every day. Just keep doing what you are supposed to do and don't panic.
