The first 10 weeks I lost the bulk of my wright

Now things have slowed down and I really have to work at it.  My dietician recommended I start to count calories.  And that is exactly what I am doing but I am on a long slow track of losing.  Seems that surgery is not the ultimate answer and we have to carry on and work just as hard as someone who has not had the surgery.

Now I want to share a positive Issue of Insulin.  Now I am the first patient at the Trillium Hospital in Mississauga, Ontario to come off of insulin completely.   This comes after an 85 pound loss.  Has this happened to someone else yet?  This came as a total surprise to me.  Seems our bodies really do have a healing power all their own.   My mobility has improved 90% WOW!

If you have lost most of your weight, the weight loss is going to slow down. My surgeon doesn't recommend counting calories. So I am OK with not doing it. I don't think they did very good prep pre-surgery with you if they let you think this wasn't going to be hard work. It is only a tool... I have come to the realization I will always need to watch what I eat and exercise ... at least now I am having results...

Congrats on all the NSVs!!

I am pushing eight years out and counting calories is the only thing that works for me long term.  That and daily weighing.
