50,000 mcg of Biotin???

I'm 12 weeks post-op today and I'm ready to start taking Biotin again.  I don't see my surgeon until next week, so I called my NUT.  I think she may be confused, because she said I should take 50,000 mcg a day. 

I told her I can only find them in 10,000 mcg form and asked if I should take 5 pills a day?!  She said no... that I could find the 50,000 at Costco.  I looked there (online)... and no such thing. 

I was taking 10,000 before surgery.  50,000 doesn't sound right to me.  Anyone?

My program says that I can take 5,000 mcg twice a day. Do you think she may have meant 5,000?

Yes... I do think she was confusing the amount with the 5000mcg.  Even though I asked her if she was SURE several times about that amount. 

Well, it's Monday - I guess anyone can be confused... but I really count on her for accuracy.  :(

If you'll be taking 50,000 a day, pick up some razors while you're at it. Unless you like a nice beard.

Most people find the biotin does nothing for the hair on their head, but it does a great job with facial hair.

I did not use a razor with the biotin.  I went to a salon for full facial waxing.  It hurts and I threw biotin away.  I was on lowest dose once a day but grew a beard

But, at least you got that great new job at the circus, right?
