If you mean avoiding processed foods, then not only is it possible to incorporate it in a post-surgery life, it is highly recommended! It us unusual for an under-active thyroid to cause weight loss, usually the other way round!

Highest 290, Banded - 248   Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,

forget I freaking asked! This site has changed for the worse over the years. It was helpful back when I had my surgery but some of the people on it now are insane. Last time I visit here.

14 years out; 190 pounds lost, 165 pound loss maintained

I think she was simply trying to clarify your question to give you a better answer.  I am not sure why you'd assume that her tone was of anything but trying to be helpful.

I certainly hope that you are working with a mental health professional for your depression because lashing out will only add to being alone and without support.  All of us need each other, and Lora is extremely knowledgable about many of the issues you've posted about.  If you notice, she was one of very few people who attempted to help you.  It seems counterintuitive to respond as you did.

I hope that you can see this in a more positive light this morning.

In fact, you say very clearly that your hypothyroidism is probably part of why you are losing weight.  Quote below.

****rogirl was trying to help!

So I am 7 years out from my lap RNY and have gone from 297 to 146 lbs and actually its been dropping off TOO fast lately and I have had no appetite at all. I have hypothyroidism but had a physical and found out my thyroid isn't being adequately replaced, so that's probably part of it. I want to start doing clean eating... is there a way to integrate WLS eating with clean eating?
