non-medical post-op goals/motivation dream list

I am pre-op RNY. It seems like everyone I tell about the surgery asks the question "why?" I feel like the PC answer is that I want the surgery to improve my health. There is truth in that answer, but it is so much more than that. My real answer is I want surgery to loose weight so I can ride roller-coasters again! I am sick and tired of living this fat-girl lifestyle and I want to break out of this 290 pound cage.

I am putting together a list of skinny-girl dreams to keep me motivated as I work through the pre-op craziness. I want this to be a very long and impressive list, so please post your ideas!

1. Go to my Niece's birthday party at holiday world and ride all the roller-coasters

2. sit anywhere I want (especially baseball stadium seats)

3. buy cute PJs at a regular store

4. buy anything cute at a regular store

5. boots that will zip up my calf

6. run a half-marathon at Disney world

7. take a bubble bath

8. snow ski

9. get up off the floor without help

10. do yoga without looking like a beached whale

11. Walk not waddle

12. Go hiking

13. cross my legs

Great list

I created a WLS bucket list and after 10 years still working on it.  It's a great motivator for when things slow down and or you hit a plateau.  Also take a photo every month in the same place and same pose.

I started out with a list and as I was crossing out things on my list, I started to add more difficult things that would challenge me.  Yes I still have a list that I am trying to achieve.

Roller coasters are a HUGE incentive for me.  I've got a family of thrill seekers and with my weight on I'm either holding them back because they feel bad about me not being able to ride or I feel bad for holding them back and us simply not going to amusement parks.  I'm hoping by this time next summer we're going to be rocking the coasters!

I never said it would be easy. I said it would be worth it.
