Seems like poor advice.  Ignoring the scale is what got me to 319.  I'll never do that again.

If you're at goal, certainly keep a check on yourself.  I think the original post is for those of us who are obsessively on the scale all the time, panicking over the least sign that weight loss has stopped in any way.
