Well that didn't work. Here's the link to the pic. Maybe this will work. Then and now! This was on 6-27-14 and on 7-29-15.

I can barely believe it, and I'm living it. I do not know when or if I ever wore 32-30 pants. I was wearing 36-30 and 38-30 pants in high school.

What size pants do men who are 5'9"  tall and normal BMI wear? What about shirts?

Mike - you look great!  Fantastic job on losing the weight.  My hubby is 5'10" and started off at 295 lbs.  He had VSG surgery a little over a year ago and is maintaining at 182-185.  He wears a size 34 jeans and a Med or Lg shirt.

He can't ever remember wearing size 34 jeans, not even in junior high :-)

Congratulations, Mike!  What a success.  You must feel great.

My husband is 5'10".  He weighs around 168.  He is a very fit 51-yr-pld who swims, bikes, and runs 6 days/week.  His BMI is normal, and his weight has remained steady for the past several years.  But he has been gaining body fat % a little at a time over the past two years...he wonders if he might be losing muscle due to age in spite of his fitness routine.  He has wide hips and broad shoulders.  He wears a 30" waist.  He wears a size medium shirt.  He likes his shirts and sweaters to be fitted, hoping this will help him look youthful as his hair goes away!

My 17-yr-old son is 5'8" and fully grown, it appears, into his man's body. He weighs around 150.  He is a very active, fit young man.  He wears a 30" waist as well. He cannot wear skinny style pants because his hips and thighs are too muscular.  He likes to wear a size L shirt because he likes things to be loose and free feeling.

Thank you!

It really is strange you know? I have never been a "normal" body weight. I have been heavy ever since I hurt my knees at age 12. I skipped from boys size slim pants to a 36 inch waist in one summer. I have been a 36 to 42 inch waist all of my life until I got hurt again in 2005, and then I shot up to a 52" waist. So I have no clue what I will look like, and no idea what to even expect. I am 47yrs old, and have some loose skin, but not bad. I worried that it wouldn't bounce back, but it did pretty good. Maybe because I wasn't at my largest for all that long.

All in all I am very excited, and confused at the same time. I have never really admired myself when I saw my reflection. Before I always hurried by, or avoided looking, but now I find myself stopping and smiling. That is an emotional moment for me. That is why I am confused.
