Did anyone have Gatorade early out?

I cannot keep water down and most drinks taste too sweet to me which make me feel nauseous. Earlier I bought a lemon lime Gatorade thirst quencher (the kind with the twisted cap) I threw up some foamies once so far.. I know they're not good to be drinking but right now isn't it ok since I need to have something in my system? Please help!! I'm 3 weeks post op btw.

I was allowed gatorade g2 during clear liquids and immediately after surgery.  Should be OK with regular gatorade,  jus****ch the calories,  carbs,  and sugars.

No, regular Gatorade is probably not OK. I pulled up the nutrition info, and one bottle is 261 calories, 37 carbs. WAY too much of both, when you're looking at ~600 calories and ~20 carbs for an entire day.

I thought I was clear when I said to watch the calories,  carbs and sugars.  Thanks for going the extra mile and looking it up!

There is a protein drink called isopure that I sipped after surgery. It is a clear liquid protein drink. I lived on that and diabetic boost for a solid two months after surgery.

It caused major heartburn for me.  At almost 11 months, I still don't use it just because of the memory.

Not being able to keep water down and Gatorade causing foamies sounds like a problem.  If it continues, I would certainly call your surgeon to check if you have a stricture.

I drank G2 3 days out, but at first i mixed half G2 and half water just to be sure it would go down okay

I am in my first week. Im drinking crystal light. And powerade zero when I'm feeling fatigued. Try powerade zero. Less sugar.y dr told me to call him if I started vomiting when only on liquids. I would give the dr a phone call.
