Insurance? Self Pay? Feeling lost.

Hi there! I'm brand new to the forums, and it's all very confusing so I apologize if this has already been mentioned (which I imagine it has). However, I'm looking for advice from individuals who have had the surgery and didn't have surgery at first, but was able to get it and have it pay for the procedure. Currently, I do not have insurance and so far my attempts at finding an individual plan that will cover it have been unsuccessful.

Any suggestions on an individual plan that I could look in to?

Thanks again!

I don't think you will find individual policies that cover WLS .... Only group policies or ACA policies or exchanges.

If you think about it, nothing would prevent an individual from signing up for an individual policy, taking advantage of thousands of dollars of bariatric coverage and then cancelling the policy ..... Just too risky for the insurers.

For what you'll pay for an individual policy, if you can find one that covers wls, you might as well start researching international surgeons and just do it yourself.
