UPMC and You insurance and VSG

Does anyone knows how long is the work up/process of having the gastric sleeve done with UPMC and you (medicaid) insurance? And which state of the art hospital facility is the best? I live in the northeast of Pennsylvania. So I been considering St.lukes or LVH.

Wondering about this same process myself - have you found out any information? I contacted UPMC for you, and St. Luke's was out of network. LVHN was in network, but would need special approval as most surgeons on the UPMC list were in the Pittsburgh area. 

   Now, I have to start the process all over again because I no longer qualify for medicaid. So I will be going through private insurance. But while I was on medicaid the nurse I spoken with at St.Lukes informed me that it would be a six months work up to surgery. Including lab work, nutritionist appointments, seminars/group meetings, and psychological.
