Profile picture issues

I saw that there was an update for photos so I updated my profile pic finally - the one I had was from a few months pre-surgery. It was super easy to do but the picture doesn't show at all - at least not for me. I don't know about for anyone else. I tried from my iphone but that was impossible to even get a pic on there. I tried to change it back but it won't do that either - just shows the blank pic. I hate posting without a pic. So anonymous. 

Help, please?

I think you are talking about your avatar right?  

Click on your user name in the upper right hand corner and it will take you to your profile. Click on the avatar box like in the photo I pasted in my other post. Its like FB. 

Add your photo and click and drag to make sure all of it is in the box. It's called crop and save.

Yep, it was super easy to do, like I said. I cropped and saved it but it won't show up. 

Is it a valid type like jpeg or png?

Yep, it's the same kind as my previous pic was. jpeg. I uploaded the picture to my albums too and it's there just fine but not as my avatar.

I bet the photo size is too big.  The same thing happened to me.  If you're on a windows laptop, bring up "accessories --> paint" and you can re-size it.

I didn't think of that -thanks!- and I resized it 4 times to no avail.
