Bye Bye Gallbladder

I just got back from having my gallbladder out, and everything went perfectly.  My doctor, who also did my RNY, said that it was definitely inflamed, and that I had been through some attacks.  I hadn't had a major attack from it, but it looks lit it would've been just a matter of time.  My main problem was nausea after eating larger meals.  I'm glad I got it taken out.  What a way to start Spring Break!

Hey Bill!

So glad to see you here but Gallbladder surgery is not fun.  BTDT 20 years ago.

Hope you get to enjoy some of your spring break.  Maybe marathon some good series or films!

Rest and get well soon - Hugs Ash

Thanks.  It's definitely going to be low key.  But the movie marathon is a great idea.  After all, Star Wars comes out on Tuesday, so I need to be prepared!

Glad the surgery went well and I hope you heal up quickly.

My hubby's birthday is 4/14 and he wants Star Wars on DVD.  I'm going to get it for him, but since I wasn't able to go see it at the theater with him and my oldest, I'm wondering if I should give it to him early.

I know what I'D do, but I'm a total Star Wars geek.  In fact, I'm trying really hard not to buy a digital copy and watch now, since the physical DVD doesn't come out until Tuesday.

I'm a moderate Star Wars fan, my husband is a huge fan.  I didn't go to see it because I stayed home with my 2 year old when a sitter wasn't available.  The sacrifices that we make for the ones we love.

Thanks for the update Bill. I thought it was today, but when I saw you posting earlier I had my doubts.

I'd be interested to hear more down the line about how the lack of gallbladder changes things.
