well I'm home! Feels good to be home. Drive wasn't too bad even tho is 90 minutes. Got home and got right into shower. I needed it so bad, felt so much better after having

now just relaxing and sipping liquids. Had some broth now crystal light. Haven't felt I've overdone anything yet as far as liquids so that's good.

Im a little cold tho :/ wife took our dogs to baseball park to keep them away from me. They did good but my sweet little doodle did get on my lap like she normally does and had her head resting on my tummy. Fortunately didn't hurt.

Going to walk some in a little I think. Except I have no pants on, only boxers! :P

Oh. Haven't had pain meds since last night. Took me off morphine pump around 4 and switched me to liquid hydrocodone. Had two doses yesterday but nothing sidne before bed. So far haven't really needed. def have the gas stuck in my body so hopefully can get it worked out

nurses were all commenting on how well was walking and how fast. Even walked myself out of hospital when got discharged without assistance.

Made me sad seeing everyone reacting to anastesia (however you spell). I wasn't sick a single time or felt sick even. I'll take that as a blessing.

Surgeon came and saw me at discharge. Talked a bit about how he feels fortunate that I would chose him for surgery even tho my brother died from gastric bypass (different surgeon). Said he was aware it was me while operating. Made sure to do a fantastic job (normally he doesn't know who he's working, only what procedure.)

all in in all a good experience. Super thankful to be home.

Gosh, I'm glad you're doing so well, but I sure wouldn't want my surgeon to say that to me! Mine was so personal and thorough with me, he called me at home the day after discharge to check on me.

Anyway, sounds like you're great. Welcome to the losers bench!

You were very very brave to make the choice to proceed with your wls after your brother died from having a gastric bypass. Did he suffer complications from the surgery or later?

Anyhow on a lighter note.... Sounds like your doing great . Now get those "britches" on and get outside to walk lol!

Ok I'm from Tennessee and britches means pants just in case someone is unaware lol
