Who has an air fryer?  What brand?  What do you like/dislike about it?  Would you buy the same one if you had it to do again?  Why or why not?

Sounds like nothing more than a table top convection oven. Nothing but a gadget to me. I have a convection oven with my wall ovens and have never even used the convection method of cooking since they were installed 12 years ago. It is not that they do not work it is because it is not something that interests me to utilize as a cooking method.

The unit does not look very big (Look at the overall size - most of the size is insulation to keep heat in the cooking source) especially if you are cooking for a family or yourself and a spouse that has a normal sized stomach. Look before you leap and buy one and ask yourself how often you will use it and for how many people. To me it is right up there with a hot pot - a gadget that will end up at a resale shop eventually. This is just my opinion. My husband and I both had RNY and will not buy these types of gadgets even if it means making smaller meals. I just cook less on the stove or in the oven. We are trying to downsize to move out of our house and not gain things like this.

I love kitchen gadgets!  I especially love my George Foreman Evolve grill and my Cusinart Ice Cream Maker.  Years ago a microwave oven and a food processor were considered gadgets. They have pretty much become kitchen mainstays.

I don't know if todays gadgets will eventually end up at Goodwill or also become a mainstay in my kitchen.  But I'll have fun using them and maybe cut some time in food prep/cooking.

Thank you for your response and opinion.

I have an old Donvier Ice cream maker (freeze the liner and hand crank).  Do you like the cusinart one and have you made protein ice cream?

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Cusinart ICM! So far I have just used it to make protein ice cream.  I make 2-3 batches a week, using recipes from Eggface's blog.

More than likely it is my age compared to others here. I do not need another appliance but that is just me. I say go at it if it is one's inclination. I like  small hand gadgets but always will wait a long time before I buy one. I think long and hard about how I will use it. If I totally forget about the gadget then it is not something that I really will need.

I will think about this item  . . . thank you for posting the thread.

I have a Phillips Airfryer.  I love it. I roast all my veggies in it in half the time a reg oven takes.  I also do burgers in it and have less fat.  I have not found one reason to dislike the airfryer.

I would purchase the same one again.

Half the time sounds good. I'm worried about being hungry as a new post op and having to wait to have something healthy while it cooks in the oven.

It is well worth the money and food always stays moist )meats) and veggies are well roasted. I've made everything in the airfryer since it is so quick and easy.
