Finally under 230!

Well in contrast to my last post which was angry and depressed, Ive started to try and retrain my thoughts and make myself be accountable for my actions. I was losing around 2 lbs a week on avg, but then a stall happened. I am proud to say my stall is over and I am finally under 230 lbs. I know the scale is just a number but that number slowly decreasing means more energy and the ability to do things with less pain. I'm a dog groomer so I constantly stand lift and move and it hurts. I started MFP back up and it's helping me skip what I dont need. I dont want to look at what I've eaten and see too many carbs or sugar, so I just make a healthier more protein conscious choice. Thank you all for the love, tough or not, and the support. I'm not where I want to be yet but far from where I was. Calling in just a few to schedule my surgeons office therapist to help me get through some of this head stuff. :) Thanks again everyone.

I'm really glad for you. make sure you get a therapist that has experience with WL people. I think he/she will be vital to you long term.

keep posting in MFP, and make sure to weigh your food. Keep good records in there and don't skip a day. Log the good and bad choices you make. I think of it as a jenga game, what can i eat within my plan and calories/protein allotment. I very very rarely go over 50 carb for the day and try to stay well below that.

Hi super! So does that mean you constantly stay in ketosis? Is that good for us? Because I was wondering that just the other day, how long can one stay in ketosis before it becomes a bad thing? Or does it ever?

Edited because I forgot to say thank you and that the therapist I'm going to see in indeed at my surgeon's office. :)

never heard of it being a bad thing- the most successful people on this board though restrict their carbs and eat protein forward.

I beg to differ on this question.  I see way too many low carb posters having serious health issues  some even require organ removal.

Personally id never eat low carb enough to cause ketosis: jeez the horrible bad breath would drive any boyfriend or husband away alone ...

I find complex carbs like quinoa yucca  squash brown rice carrots kale or turnip greens and other veggies are both non-fattening super energizing and don't require a feeling of dieting

I still wear size zero pants : but my breasts came back ( grr) so slightly bigger tops . Still x small .

Which organs would those be?    Almost everyone who's successful here eats a diet that includes complex carbs, they just don't eat bread, pasta or rice.  Absolutely NOTHING wrong with that.

I still have EVERY organ I was born with!
