Hello!!! okay, so I am on day 2 of Optifast and was wondering if it can be heated, make it a hot chocolate instead of a shake?  Has anyone tried this?

Thanks in advance!

most protein shakes will clump if heated over 140 degrees so heat slowly and carefully

Never thought about heating it - and back in the 90s, I was on Optifast for 10 months.

Pre-op, I would make a orange-cyclie shake,  Diet orange soda and vanilla shake(mixed with half the water) and then add lots of soda and watch it fizz.  This is a no-no post-WS, but pre-wls, I needed the extra volume to feel full.

Good luck

Google it. It looks like people have.

Ui used to make a strong decaf coffee and add that slowly to make warm protein coffee. (also reduced the sweetness of the drink)

I added hot coffee to my protein shake  -not the other way around.  warm is ok - too hot - will get lumpy. it is still ok to drink but the lumps are nasty... and even blending them is not fixing the texture.
