With my diabetes not being resolved (I'm out of diabetic range for my daily testing but still in pre-diabetic ranges) I am absolutely paying attention to my carb counts. (all carbs, not net carbs)

When I tried to ignore the carbs that were called "fiber" my RH was out if control. That thought me to include all carbs when dealing with blood sugar.

Ad for SA - not only the cause horrible gas and cramps, but I dump on some of them as if there were pure sugar. Not only I needed to count them - but now I also try to avoid them completely. Even the small qty of SA in chewing gum can upset my gut.

Hi H.A.L.A

I was lucky the SA's didn't hit me like that but I still would keep track of them. We become real PI's do we not?

So after reading through this thread I think I'm going to have to reevaluate how I look at carbs. I had been tracking both. But focusing on keeping my carb intake under 20% on my macros - usually under 50 or 60 total

but then excusing the glorified candy bars and their net carb vs total carb sales pitch.

After looking at it I realized I'm perpetuating unhealthy behaviors by using the Atkins bars as my post workout treat.

Grims comment about having your cake and eating it too kind of hit home.

Always a work in progress

Hi ThatMeanOne,

That is the value of posting everyone's experiences. Try to not do bars they are never a good choice but if your back is to the wall at least try eating half of it

Sometimes a half a "'fagbar" ( that said at least 40 percent of my bodybuilding clients are gay males ) is exactly what you need to eat .

i totally tease my clients and they love it : being manhandled by a hot grrl . Sex and attraction are very fluid ... but the constants r being young hot nd skinny.

Trust your body !!( and drink water because so much of the time over eaters feel " hungry " they're simply THIRSTY
